The Foundation > What We Do

We build cultural bridges between Armenia and other nations by celebrating Armenian cultural heritage internationally, supporting young Armenian musicians, and developing educational activities.

The mission of the Primavera Foundation Armenia is to promote the international integration of Armenian culture and artists, as well as to increase the recognition of the cultural heritage of Armenia through the following activities:

  • Fostering the creation and development of mutually beneficial relationships between cultural institutions, non-profit organizations, and individuals of the Republic of Armenia and the world;
  • Identifying and supporting young Armenian musical talent, with a particular emphasis on conducting and composition;
  • Supporting the development of artistic infrastructure in the field of classical music;
  • Developing and organizing educational programs in the performing arts and cultural management;
  • Showcasing artistic excellence by means of cross-cultural events.

2022

November – December

The Primavera Foundation of Armenia was established in September 2022. The foundation was presented to the public on November 17, 2022, with the historical event: pianist Mikhail Pletnev performed with the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of legendary maestro Vladimir Fedoseyev at the Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall.

This is the first half-year report developed by the Primavera Foundation team. We will publish half-year reports twice a year and present an annual report summarizing the Primavera Foundation activities throughout each calendar year.

We will do our best to continuously ensure complete transparency and provide up-to-date and accurate access to information about all our activities. Our reports will provide insights into our results with relevant numbers, giving you a better understanding of our priorities and practical outcomes. Don’t forget to follow us on our social media!

From December 2022 – January 2023, we were designing and developing our events for March-April 2023, as well as a unique program under the patronage of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Spain in the Republic of Armenia, as well as launching our social media profiles on Facebook, Instagram, and this website. The end of 2022 was marked with the launch of the All-Armenian Classical Music Education & Young Talent Survey.

The Primavera Foundation of Armenia launch event took place on November 17, 2022, at the Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall in Yerevan. The historic event, organized together with our strategic partner, the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra brought together on the same stage two living legends: maestro Vladimir Fedoseyev and pianist Mikhail Pletnev.

We are delighted to share the photos from the event on our event website page.

We see this initiative as the starting point for all our activities. Its relevance will be guaranteed by the fact that it will be based on the results of the all-Armenian classical music education and young talent survey. They will guide us in addressing the most pressing needs and serving the most responsive demographic, also through scholarship opportunities.

If you know anyone who could make an essential contribution to this initiative, such as a music teacher or a classical music event organizer, please feel free to copy and share this link with them.

Data collecting methods: the online questionnaire and face-to-face interviews.
