Training Program

Due to its recognizability, accessibility, and mobility, the guitar is among young people’s most demanded instruments. The general interest in the instrument creates the basis for attracting more youngsters to classical music through the guitar. We based our educational activities priorities on the existing demand, and during 2023, the foundation organized 54 one-to-one in-person classical guitar master classes, primarily in Armenian regions.

We continue our Classical Guitar Artistic Training Program in 2024, and to analyze the results, support students and teachers motivation we are planning to end the 2023/24 educational season with the two-level competition system, starting with regional classical guitar competitions, and then organizing the finals in Yerevan.

The competition jury will consist of Armenian and international musicians, as well as the foundation curators, tutors, and mentors.

We intend to invite some of the competition laureates to participate in the Chamber Music Summer School by professor Irina Krasotina on a yearly basis.

On top of everything, this is an opportunity for musicians who won’t make a career as a soloist to remain on stage and pursue a successful artistic life. We plan to run the school annually.

How Does It Work?
  1. Applications collection through an open call, students selection, ensembles formation

  3. Summer school reporting concert in front of a jury and an audience

TRAINING PROGRAM FOR PIANO REPAIRS & TUNERS

Program Running Period:

3 years

Educational modules – Yerevan, repairing practice workshops Yerevan, and marzes

Every eighth resident of Armenia gets in touch with the musical education system as a student, teacher, parent, or relative of a pupil/student or as an audience. Almost 20,000 pupils study music in music schools, cultural centers, colleges, and conservatories. More than 5,000 teachers support our pupils across the country. The piano is the most used instrument during the music education process, and every student uses the piano as a primary or additional instrument.

Primavera Foundation Armenia is taking the initiative to design and produce an educational program for piano repairs and restoration so that every piano is well-served and available in playable condition for our children and their teachers. To bring more pianos to Armenia, firstly, we should secure the professional level of piano repairers and tuners and secure at least two tuners in every marz.
