Vasily Petrenko’s Workshop: The Secrets of a Conductor Job Beyond Music

On July 5th, 2004, as a part of the Academy for Conductors educational program, maestro Vasily Petrenko shared his professional experience and expertise which goes far beyond working with an orchestra on stage. 

His workshop The Secrets of a Conductor Job Beyond Music was an opportunity for the Academy participants to ask career-related questions to Maestro. The questions covered such topics as dealing with cultural differences and language barriers, working with management, as well as the mindset of a conductor among others. Maestro Petrenko shared his extensive experience and insights, offering valuable advice on the professional, leadership, and emotional aspects of conducting a job.
