BRAVO.AM: Armenia Marks Landmark Violin Translation with December 24 Concert Featuring Bruch, Korngold, and Glinka

To mark the Armenian translation of Carl Flesch’s The Art of Violin Playing, a concert on December 24 featured Bruch’s Violin Concerto No. 1, Korngold’s Violin Concerto – performed in Armenia for only the second time – and Glinka’s Ruslan and Lyudmila overture. Maximilian Simon, editor of the updated German edition, noted that the book clearly explains the complex techniques every violinist must master. Realized by the Primavera Foundation of Armenia with the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra, the project now makes this essential guide accessible to Armenian students and professionals.
