Irina Krasotina
ABOUT ARMENIAN CHAMBER MUSIC SCHOOL
The Annual Armenian Chamber Music School by Professor Irina Krasotina is a sustainable educational initiative with branches in Yerevan and Syunik. It gives young musicians and pedagogues across Armenia access to intensive, hands-on guidance from Irina Krasotina, Professor at the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory.
During the School, each ensemble daily works with Professor Krasotina, while all sessions remain open to fellow participants, turning every class into a shared learning experience. Participation is free for Armenian musicians who live in Armenia.
The School is structured as a recurring annual program with two educational cycles per academic year. The autumn session (November, Yerevan) focuses on intensive training, ensemble development, and methodological work, without a final public concert. The spring cycle begins in Kapan (April) and continues in Yerevan (May), each culminating in a gala concert. One ensemble from Kapan is invited to perform on the main stage in Yerevan.
Participation is based on a free open call for ensembles and individual musicians from Armenia. Applicants are invited to apply in accordance with the eligibility and selection criteria. Click for a detailed schedule for the current academic year & available application opportunities.
Alongside the ensembles, Professor Krasotina works with student assistants, sharing the methodology of ensemble development and leading working meetings with pedagogues. Under the auspices of the School, Primavera Charitable Foundation translates, publishes, and freely distributes teaching materials and repertoire recommendations, films and releases online educational videos, and carries out other infrastructural efforts.

ABOUT THE CHAMBER MUSIC SCHOOL
How the Armenian Chamber Music School Works
The Annual Armenian Chamber Music School is based on an open call for ensembles and individual musicians. After the application deadline, we review the applications, select active participants, and form chamber ensembles in consultation with Professor Irina Krasotina.

The School is held in person and runs through two annual educational cycles:

- Spring session in Kapan and Yerevan: both branches include educational sessions and gala concerts. One ensemble from Kapan is usually invited to perform on the main stage in Yerevan.
The number of places is limited. A maximum of seven ensembles in Yerevan and five ensembles in Kapan may be selected for the spring session. The autumn session in Yerevan is not limited to a specific number of ensembles, as it is focused exclusively on the educational process; however, it is limited by Professor Krasotina’s schedule while in Yerevan.
Musicians who are not selected as active participants are welcome to attend the open sessions as audience members. Entrance for the audience is free.
