Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra Centennial, 2024/25 and 2025/26 seasons

The Foundation, in collaboration with our strategic partner, Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra (Artistic Director & Principal Conductor: Eduard Topchjan) will design and produce a program of special events dedicated to the centennial anniversary of the ensemble. Founded in 1925 in Yerevan, this oldest and most prestigious symphony orchestra in Armenia was counted among the top orchestras of the former Soviet Union. The orchestra presents around 50 performances annually and attracts more than 60 000 audience members at the Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall in Yerevan.

Throughout its 100-year history, the orchestra has collaborated with legendary soloists and conductors, presented world premieres of works by Armenian composers including Aram Khachaturian (often under his baton), toured in Europe, Middle East, China, and across North and South Americas. These days the orchestra serves as a unique link between Armenia and famous Armenian musicians, who perform with prestigious orchestras and opera houses worldwide.
